The U.S. Has Been Crippled by Its Leaders

leave a comment »

The United States has been crippled by “free trade” over the past several decades. Our leaders have tied us to the World Trade Organization and the North American Free Trade Agreement which benefit other nations at our expense. What was once the world’s champion economic system has been corrupted to the point that our nation cannot compete internationally.

The United States has no manufacturing capacity worth speaking of and is almost completely reliant on imported production. We need to get back to the economic system which drove our boom during the 1940s-1970s. We need to start producing on American soil while employing American workers.

Our economy is literally shrinking with every item that comes into this country. This economic death sentence has never been a major concern in productive countries like China, Japan and elsewhere, because their officials organized and stuck to a proven strategy for growth.

Every year our society becomes more complacent by accumulating debt, and more addicted to consuming imports. Every year our country loses more jobs to foreign competition, giving this country less and less to build upon for the future. We need to act now before time runs out on the American Dream.
